A specialty compounding pharmacy seeks two experienced Clinical Pharmacists with expertise in sterile and non-sterile compounding to support personalized pharmaceutical preparations tailored to patient needs. This 13-week contract-to-hire position involves working closely with the Pharmacy Supervisor and production teams to ensure full compliance with State and Federal regulations while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and medication safety.
Location: Kennett Square, PA
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of compounded sterile and non-sterile preparations against master formula worksheets
- Follow and implement SOPs and policies for compounding, complying with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines
- Perform proper cleaning and garbing as per company policies to maintain aseptic techniques
- Conduct calculations, operate production equipment, and complete all required documentation
- Monitor quality control tests and inspections to verify the accuracy, purity, and potency of compounded medications
- Prepare work areas thoroughly prior to production and operate technical equipment ensuring quality standards
- Provide patient counseling on compounded, prescription, and OTC medications
- Stay current on compounding practices, techniques, and technologies through continuous learning
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
- Recent pharmacy experience with a strong background in sterile compounding
- Ability to maintain strict attendance and punctuality
- Detail-oriented with strong adherence to regulatory standards
