Pharmacist Clinical | North Chicago, Illinois

This position offers an opportunity to serve as a Clinical Hospital Staff Pharmacist in a dynamic inpatient hospital environment located in North Chicago, IL. You will play a vital role in ensuring optimal medication management through direct patient care and collaboration with healthcare teams across rotating shifts.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing drug therapy to improve patient outcomes in an inpatient setting
• Participating in clinical rounds and providing recommendations based on patient-specific factors
• Monitoring medication regimens, dosing adjustments, and adverse drug reactions
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Utilizing Cerner electronic health records for documentation and order verification
• Working weekends on a rotating schedule

Schedule:

• Rotating shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM and 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• Rotating weekends
• 13-week contract with potential extension

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Illinois required
• Strong inpatient clinical pharmacy experience preferred
• Oncology clinical experience highly desirable
• Experience with Cerner electronic health systems considered a plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital inpatient environment
