This opportunity is for a Clinical Hospital Staff Pharmacist to support inpatient care in a hospital setting. The role involves rotating shifts between first and second shift, contributing to high-quality patient outcomes through expert medication management in a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient hospital, ensuring safe and effective medication use.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapies, with a focus on complex clinical cases including oncology patients.
  • Manage and review medication orders using the Cerner electronic health record system.
  • Participate in rotational weekend shifts to maintain consistent pharmacy coverage.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and state pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Illinois pharmacy license is required.
  • Strong inpatient clinical pharmacy experience is essential.
  • Oncology pharmacy experience is preferred, offering opportunity to apply specialized knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records system is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, patient-centered hospital environment.

Shift and Schedule:

  • Rotating 1st and 2nd shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM and 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Rotating weekends are a requirement.
  • Contract term is 13 weeks with possible extension.
