An urgent opening is available for experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacists to join a specialty pharmacy team on an 8-10 week contract basis in North Las Vegas, NV. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a specialty or infusion pharmacy background, looking to start immediately. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekend on-call rotation.

Location: North Las Vegas, NV
Contract Duration: 8-10 weeks
Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Weekend on-call rotation

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Nevada Pharmacist License
  • BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Specialty, Infusion, or Compounding pharmacy experience (retail-only backgrounds do not qualify)
  • Strong knowledge of specialty therapies and patient qualification processes
  • Experience supervising or closely working with pharmacy technicians

Preferred Experience:

  • 1-2 years in Specialty, Infusion, Hospital, or related pharmacy settings
  • Familiarity with specialty pharmacy operations, payer requirements, and clinical coordination
  • Experience with CareTend pharmacy software is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions while ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies including State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA, URAC, and ACHC
  • Provide patient counseling and manage medication therapy for specialty disease states
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns, offering guidance and support
  • Collaborate with Intake, Referral, and Clinical teams to facilitate prescription fulfillment and onboarding
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy documentation, oversee quality assurance, and resolve incidents
  • Participate in weekend on-call rotation as needed

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong clinical judgment in specialty medications
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy software applications
  • Ability to work onsite and efficiently manage multiple priorities
