Exceptional opportunity for clinical pharmacists to join a leading 359-bed, Level 1 trauma pediatric teaching hospital recognized as one of the largest pediatric medical providers in the U.S. This role offers a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment in a state-of-the-art facility delivering specialized care exclusively for children.

Position Highlights:

  • Full-time, day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
  • Direct hire opportunity with immediate start
  • Two openings available

Ideal Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current or in-process Arkansas pharmacist license (temporary license available)
  • Minimum of 2 years of inpatient clinical pharmacy experience preferred
  • IV experience or IV certification preferred
  • Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) preferred
  • New graduates welcome to apply

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compound and dispense medications as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy in dose, route, and patient-specific factors such as weight and age
  • Collaborate with medical staff to assess drug interactions, allergies, and therapeutic appropriateness
  • Provide patient counseling and respond to medication-related inquiries
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and hospital procedures while documenting pharmacy data
  • Conduct drug utilization reviews and help manage formulary decisions, including non-formulary drug evaluations
  • Order medication supplies and manage inventory control with vendor communication
  • Participate actively in the education and training of patients, pharmacy staff, and healthcare teams
  • Serve as a resource for drug information and assist in discharge planning to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes
