Clinical Pharmacist - Omaha, Nebraska

A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available at a rehabilitation hospital in Omaha, NE, seeking candidates to fill two openings. This position focuses on pharmaceutical care in a rehab setting without emergency room or obstetrics services, emphasizing Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) and IV antibiotic management. Candidates will primarily support patients receiving three hours of therapy per shift on the rehab unit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and verify TPN and intravenous antibiotic therapies for patients on the rehabilitation unit
• Conduct medication reconciliation and clinical monitoring to ensure safe and effective pharmaceutical care
• Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes in a rehab environment
• Utilize the Altera Sunrise system for medication dispensing and documentation (training provided)
• Adapt quickly to hospital protocols and workflow, delivering proactive and efficient pharmacy services

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Nebraska pharmacist license required
• Clinical pharmacy experience in hospital or rehab settings preferred
• Ability to quickly integrate into a fast-paced clinical environment and work independently
• Familiarity with pharmacy information systems; willingness to learn Altera Sunrise system

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Every other Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Rotating weekend shifts
