Hospital Pharmacist

Ready to take the next step in your pharmacy career? We're seeking a hands-on Hospital Pharmacist / Pharmacy Manager for a rehabilitation hospital in Overland Park, KS. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys both clinical staffing and leadership responsibilities in a close-knit hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and oversee daily pharmacy operations
• Staff the pharmacy 40 hours per week while maintaining clinical and operational responsibilities
• Verify medication orders and ensure safe, accurate dispensing practices
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians during daily operations
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff regarding medication therapy
• Perform IV compounding and ensure compliance with sterile compounding standards
• Participate in weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage as needed
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and hospital policies
• Utilize WellSky and Pyxis systems for medication management and dispensing workflows

Requirements:

• Active Kansas Pharmacist license required
• Ability to serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
• Recent hospital pharmacy experience required
• IV compounding experience required
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Experience with WellSky and Pyxis preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Full-time schedule with occasional weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage
• ASAP start
• 3+ month contract with potential for long-term opportunity
