Clinical Pharmacist | Oxnard, California

A reputable medical center in Ventura County is seeking two experienced Clinical Pharmacists to support inpatient pharmacy staffing. This contract role offers the opportunity to work full-time with varied shifts, including swing shifts, some weekends, and holidays. The assignment is expected to last approximately 3 to 6 months, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.

Location: Oxnard, CA

Schedule:

• Full-time hours
• Primarily four 10-hour shifts per week (some 8-hour shifts depending on the pharmacy unit)
• Variable shifts including swing shifts
• Some weekend and holiday coverage may be required

Responsibilities:

• Safely and accurately prepare, dispense, and oversee the distribution of inpatient medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
• Participate in clinical rounds and provide drug information as needed.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to regulatory standards to ensure patient safety.
• Utilize electronic health records to review medication orders and patient information.

Qualifications:

• Valid California Pharmacist license (required).
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system preferred but not mandatory; training is available.
• Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
