This opportunity is for experienced pharmacists to provide vital clinical services at a tribal hospital and outpatient clinic in a remote Arizona location. The setting offers a unique chance to practice in a decentralized emergency department role and outpatient clinics serving a tribal community, supporting quality patient care through clinical expertise.
Three full-time pharmacist positions are available:
- Two pharmacists to support the Outpatient Clinic
- One clinical pharmacist for the Night Shift Emergency Department role (requires clinical experience and willingness to obtain BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications)
Licensure from any state is acceptable; Arizona pharmacist license is not required due to the tribal facility setting. Candidates with residency or hospital experience are highly preferred. A positive attitude and adaptability to a remote clinic environment are essential.
Schedule:
- Typically 10-hour shifts, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Responsibilities include providing clinical pharmacy services, medication therapy management, and working as a true decentralized ED pharmacist with collaborative patient care. The IT system used is RPMS, a proprietary platform similar to VA’s Vista system.
Housing:
- Shared housing available on campus at approximately $400/month
- Apartments accommodate three pharmacists, with private bedrooms, shared bathrooms, and kitchens
- Non-coed arrangements ensure privacy and comfort
