Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Pineville, Louisiana

A 200+ bed community hospital in the Alexandria, LA area is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care on a contract basis for approximately 13 weeks. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital setting with access to advanced technology systems including EPIC and Pyxis.

Schedule:

• 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each
• Rotating schedules with possible shifts from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, 7 AM to 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM to 11 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and promptly
• Supervise pharmacy technicians ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
• Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient medication therapy
• Manage pharmacokinetics monitoring and interventions
• Utilize hospital IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis for documentation and workflow efficiency

Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with clinical hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficient with pharmaceuticals in an acute care setting
• Experience with electronic medical record systems, preferably EPIC
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams
