A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available in a 200+ bed community hospital in the Alexandria, LA area. This contract role offers a comprehensive clinical experience starting ASAP for a 13-week assignment. The hospital utilizes EPIC for electronic medical records and Pyxis for medication dispensing, providing a modern healthcare environment.

Schedule & Hours:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Rotating schedule with varied shifts: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM–11:00 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification to ensure accuracy and patient safety
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily operations
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to provide clinical consultations
• Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and patient-specific medication adjustments
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Pharmacist license in the respective state
• Experience in clinical pharmacy services within a hospital setting
• Proficient with EPIC and Pyxis systems preferred
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
