Clinical Pharmacist - Pineville, LA

A contract opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist at a well-equipped 200+ bed community hospital. This role requires dedication to patient care through expert medication management and collaboration with the healthcare team. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with an immediate start.

Location: Alexandria, LA

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Rotating schedule that may include 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM–11:00 PM shifts
• Every other weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient operations
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses by providing clinical consultations and guidance
• Utilize pharmacokinetic principles to optimize medication therapy for patients
• Work with technology tools such as EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist licensure in the state of Louisiana
• Proven clinical pharmacy experience in acute care or hospital settings
• Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ability to adapt to a variable and rotating schedule with professionalism
