Clinical Pharmacist - Pittsburgh, PA

This direct hire opportunity offers a rewarding role as a Clinical Pharmacist working across Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU) settings, along with involvement in the antibiotic stewardship team. Unlike larger hospitals where clinical pharmacists might be restricted to one unit, this position provides a dynamic environment to broaden clinical expertise by rotating through multiple units. Responsibilities:

• Enter and verify medication orders, review medication profiles for appropriateness, and provide clinical services tailored to specific patient populations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and rounds as assigned in the ED and ICU.
• Perform drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consults according to established protocols.
• Engage in acute patient care scenarios including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma response within the ED and CCU settings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Completion of PGY1 residency or a minimum of three years current clinical experience.
• Licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience with Meditech electronic health records preferred.

Location and Schedule:

• Based in State College, PA.
• Variable day and afternoon shifts, primarily 8-hour day shifts.

This position offers a competitive salary range from $108,000 to $169,000 annually, with a midpoint at approximately $139,000. Relocation assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis.
