A part-time Long Term Care Pharmacist opportunity is available, involving approximately 24 hours per week, with a schedule primarily Monday through Friday between 8 am and 6 pm. The assignment begins as a one-month engagement with potential for extension.
This role requires expertise in pharmacy systems such as QS1, Docutrack, and PCC, supporting skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice care environments. Responsibilities include verifying orders entered by data entry technicians, checking blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile medications, and answering clinical inquiries from nursing and hospice staff as well as physicians. Additional duties involve managing controlled substance inventories by performing counts and documentation, and ensuring emergency medication boxes are properly maintained.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
- Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the state of Pennsylvania.
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacist experience; Long Term Care (LTC) experience preferred.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, perform fine motor tasks, and maintain visual acuity.
- Capability to lift up to 30 pounds as required.
