Clinical Pharmacist in Pollock, LA

A clinical pharmacist position is available at a 200+ bed community hospital in Alexandria, LA, offering a rewarding opportunity to apply your expertise in a collaborative healthcare environment. This contract role spans 13 weeks with an ASAP start and features a dynamic schedule designed to provide variety and flexibility.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Rotating shifts including 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM–11:00 PM
• Every other weekend coverage required

Key responsibilities include verifying medication orders, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians and nursing staff, and managing pharmacokinetics to optimize patient care. Experience with EPIC and Pyxis systems will support seamless integration into the hospital’s workflow.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license
• Familiarity with clinical pharmacy practices in a hospital setting
• Proficient in order verification and medication safety protocols
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams
• Ability to supervise and guide pharmacy technicians
• BLS certification from American Heart Association
