Clinical Pharmacist – Contract Opportunity in Pollock, LA

This position offers the chance to serve in a busy 200+ bed community hospital located near Alexandria, LA. The role requires a dynamic Clinical Pharmacist ready to start ASAP for a 13-week contract. The hospital utilizes EPIC and Pyxis systems, supporting pharmacists with integrated technology for efficient workflow.

Schedule & Hours:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Rotating schedule, including varied shifts such as 6AM-4:30PM, 7AM-5:30PM, or 12:30PM-11PM
• Every other weekend coverage required

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders with accuracy and clinical judgment
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operation and compliance with protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses, providing expert medication consultations
• Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and dose adjustments as needed
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, regulatory compliance, and patient safety standards

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Active pharmacist license valid in the state of Louisiana
• Proven experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system and Pyxis automated dispensing machines
• Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work a rotating schedule including weekend shifts
