Clinical Pharmacist | Pollock, Louisiana

Deliver essential clinical pharmacy services within a 200+ bed community hospital setting in Alexandria, LA. This role focuses on providing expert medication management, collaborating with healthcare teams, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. The position is a contract assignment lasting 13 weeks with an ASAP start.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and safety standards
• Consulting with physicians and nursing staff to optimize medication therapy
• Applying pharmacokinetic principles to guide dosage adjustments
• Utilizing EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication dispensing and patient record management

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with active credentials
• Experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, preferably EPIC
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage varying shift schedules and rotate weekend duties

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Varied schedule potentially including 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM–11:00 PM
• Even/Odd weekend rotation
