An immediate opportunity is available for a clinical pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy operations in Puyallup, WA. This contract role offers 16+ weeks of engagement, with potential to transition to permanent status. The schedule includes variable days and afternoon 8-hour shifts, providing flexibility within the workweek.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders efficiently using Epic systems.
  • Perform final accuracy checks on dispensed pharmaceutical products.
  • Provide expert drug information and clinical consultation to healthcare teams.
  • Oversee and guide pharmacy technician workflow to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Participate in emergency response protocols, including Code Blue situations.
  • Utilize IT systems such as Epic and Pyxis to manage pharmacy operations seamlessly.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with current credentials.
  • Experience in inpatient pharmacy settings.
  • Strong preference for candidates with chemotherapy/oncology exposure.
  • Proficient in Epic and Pyxis medication management systems.
  • Ability to respond effectively in high-pressure emergency situations.
  • Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.
