Seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist with expertise in home infusion to provide per diem coverage in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role focuses on ensuring the safe preparation, verification, and delivery of sterile compounded pharmaceuticals to patients, while maintaining clear communication with healthcare providers and patients.

Schedule:

  • Per Diem
  • Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Coverage periods: April 14-22, June 13-25, July 29 – August 5

Location: Raleigh, NC
Environment: Home Infusion Pharmacy
Software: CPR+ (experience required)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify pharmaceutical products entering the clean room for sterile compounding per batch records.
  • Conduct final checks on compounded sterile products (CSPs), including labels, fill amounts, and drug content.
  • Review final shipments to patients, ensuring accuracy of medical supplies listed on delivery tickets.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, field nurses, and patients regarding medication regimens, inventory levels, adverse drug reactions, and abnormal laboratory results.
  • Proactively contact patients to coordinate medication deliveries, assess inventory, monitor drug compliance, and report any concerns to management.
  • Handle inbound calls from medical offices, nursing agencies, and patients with professionalism and clinical insight.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy or Master's degree preferred.
  • Active pharmacist licensure in North Carolina.
  • Minimum two years’ recent experience in an acute-care setting or one year in home infusion therapy.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience with intravenous admixture services and intravenous therapy.
  • Proficiency with CPR+ software mandatory.
