Provide specialized pharmaceutical care as a Clinical Pharmacist focusing on Home Infusion services in a per diem capacity. This role supports patient health by ensuring the accuracy and safety of compounded sterile preparations and managing medication inventories in coordination with healthcare providers.

Location:

  • Raleigh, NC

Schedule:

  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Coverage periods: April 14–22, June 13–25, and July 29–August 5

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify pharmaceutical products and drugs entering the clean room for sterile compounding according to unique batch records.
  • Perform final checks on compounded sterile preparations (CSP) post-compounding, confirming label accuracy, fill amount, and drug used.
  • Review and approve final shipments, including all medical supplies on delivery tickets, before dispatch to patients.
  • Communicate effectively with medical offices, field nurses, and patients to discuss drug regimens, inventory status, adverse reactions, and abnormal lab results.
  • Proactively contact patients to coordinate medication and supply deliveries, monitor drug adherence, and report any concerns to management.
  • Manage incoming calls from medical professionals and patients, addressing inquiries and coordinating care.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy or Master of Science in Pharmacy preferred.
  • Active pharmacist license in North Carolina.
  • Minimum of two years recent acute-care experience or one year recent home infusion therapy experience.
  • Strong expertise in intravenous admixture services and intravenous therapy.
  • Proficient in CPR+ software.
