Per Diem Clinical Pharmacist - Redlands, CA

Located in Redlands, CA, this per diem opportunity seeks a Clinical Pharmacist with strong inpatient experience to support hospital pharmacy operations. The role offers a structured M-F day schedule with limited on-call weekend and after-hours responsibilities, providing a balance of routine hours and occasional clinical support.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Full-time hours)
• On-call weekends and after hours (calls are rare but require availability)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and review medication orders to ensure accuracy, appropriateness, and patient safety
• Compound sterile medications including IV admixtures and unit dose medications (no chemotherapy or hazardous drugs)
• Respond to emergency room codes as needed
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and sterile compounding standards
• Monitor medication therapy and provide clinical recommendations to physicians and nursing staff
• Manage Pyxis machine stocking at two family health centers in the community

Qualifications:

• Active and clear California Pharmacist License (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Experience with pharmacy software systems such as CSPI, Evident, or Pyxis is preferred; training available if needed
• Ability to work independently as the sole pharmacist in a clinical setting preferred
• Commitment to fulfill on-call responsibilities
