Clinical Pharmacist in Reno, NV

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmacy services during night shifts at a 175-bed hospital. The role involves working closely with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication management within a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness during night shifts
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support their workflow
• Consult with physicians and nurses to optimize medication therapies
• Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and dose adjustments as needed
• Utilize hospital IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis to manage medication records and dispensing

Schedule:

• Night shifts with a 7 on/7 off rotation
• 10-hour shifts, providing consistent blocks of time off

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active pharmacist license in Nevada
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work independently during night hours
• Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is highly beneficial
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with medical staff
