A reputable medical center in State College, PA, is seeking two Permanent Unit-Based Clinical Pharmacists to join their clinical team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain diverse experience working across emergency department (ED), intensive care unit (ICU), and antibiotic stewardship services—providing broad clinical exposure beyond typical single-unit assignments.

Location:

  • State College, PA — a vibrant area known for its beautiful surroundings and home to Penn State University
  • Relocation assistance available on a case-by-case basis

Schedule:

  • Variable days and afternoons, primarily 8-hour day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform medication order entry and verification, medication profile reviews for appropriateness, and provide clinical services relevant to patient needs
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and participate in rounds based on practice area
  • Conduct drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consults per protocol
  • Actively engage in acute patient scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma within ED/critical care

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) residency or a minimum of three years clinical experience
  • Licensed pharmacist in PA or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Open to out-of-state candidates without PA license in hand; relocation support to State College provided

Technology:

  • Experience with Meditech preferred
