Clinical Pharmacist - Richmond, Texas

A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available for overnight shifts at a Pavilion for Women site in Richmond, TX. This contract role starts on 5/18 and lasts for 14 weeks with a 7 on/7 off schedule working 7:30 pm to 7:30 am. The electronic medical record system in use is EPIC.

• Overnight shifts
• 7 days on, 7 days off
• 7:30 pm - 7:30 am

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire medication process to promote optimal pharmaceutical care.
• Identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug-related problems.
• Ensure medication appropriateness in relation to diagnosis, patient weight/body surface area, allergies, and drug interactions.
• Accurately enter medication orders into the computer system with high precision.
• Verify the accuracy of all dispensed medications to eliminate errors.
• Deliver medication doses within established timelines and guidelines.
• Adhere strictly to aseptic technique and infection control standards during preparation of sterile products, including overseeing technicians.
• Maintain annual certification with a minimum 90% score on aseptic technique and infection control evaluations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum 2+ years inpatient pharmacy experience; pediatric experience preferred.
• Active Texas pharmacist license.
• ACPE IV Certification required.
• Proficient with EPIC EMR system is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.
