A permanent opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to provide critical pharmaceutical care across multiple units including the Emergency Department (ED), Critical Care Unit (CCU), and the antibiotic stewardship team. This role offers a unique chance to expand clinical expertise by working in diverse, high-acuity areas rather than being limited to a single floor.

Location: State College, PA — a vibrant and scenic community home to a major university, offering an excellent quality of life. Relocation assistance is offered to support candidates transitioning from other regions.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter and verify medication orders while conducting thorough medication profile reviews for appropriateness.
  • Deliver clinical services tailored to the unique needs of patients in ED, ICU, and other specialized units.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborative patient care teams.
  • Perform drug therapy monitoring and manage consults according to established protocols.
  • Support acute patient care scenarios including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, trauma, and more.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
  • PGY1 residency or a minimum of three years’ clinical pharmacy experience.
  • Hold or be eligible to obtain a PA pharmacist license; candidates without an active PA license are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience working with Meditech or similar healthcare IT systems is preferred.

Schedule:

  • Primarily day shifts with some variable days and afternoons.
  • 8-hour shifts focused on maintaining work-life balance.
