A permanent opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to work in a dynamic healthcare setting serving multiple acute care units. This role offers a unique chance to rotate between the Emergency Department (ED) and the Critical Care Unit (CCU), as well as actively contribute to the antibiotic stewardship team. Unlike larger hospitals where pharmacists may be assigned exclusively to one floor, this position allows diversified clinical exposure that fosters well-rounded expertise and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders and review medication profiles for clinical appropriateness.
  • Provide drug information and clinical services tailored to specific patient populations.
  • Engage in multi-disciplinary rounds and collaborate closely with healthcare teams.
  • Monitor drug therapy and manage pharmacist-driven consults following established protocols.
  • Participate in acute patient care scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma events.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
  • PGY1 residency or a minimum of 3 years clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Possession of a Pennsylvania pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Strong clinical acumen and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Location & Schedule:

  • Based in State College, Pennsylvania – a vibrant university town known for its scenic beauty and community atmosphere.
  • Primarily day shifts with variable scheduling including afternoons; 8-hour shifts.
  • Utilizes Meditech electronic health record system.

Additional Details:

  • Competitive salary range from $108,000 to $169,000 annually, with midpoint compensation near $139,000.
  • Relocation assistance is available to support candidates moving to the area.
  • Out-of-state candidates are encouraged to apply—even those without a current Pennsylvania license will be considered.
