A highly skilled clinical pharmacist is needed to provide comprehensive pharmacy services in an infusion setting. This full-time direct hire position offers a collaborative environment focused on high-touch patient care and pharmacy production.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • On call every third weekend

Location: Sacramento, CA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compound, dispense, and clinically monitor therapies prescribed by authorized medical personnel, specializing in chronic and acute infusion treatments.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with nursing, admissions, reimbursement, sales, and marketing teams to optimize patient outcomes and provide a customer-centered service.
  • Participate actively in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Support orientation and training of new pharmacy personnel, and possibly precept pharmacy interns.
  • Serve as a clinical expert for sales and marketing, assisting with presentations and review of clinical materials.
  • Manage procurement and inventory control in line with company procedures.
  • Provide support for insurance authorization and reimbursement audits.
  • Participate in on-call pharmacy rotation to ensure continuous support.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with controlled substance reporting.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of USP 797, USP 800, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Desired Experience:

  • Prior experience in an infusion pharmacy setting is strongly preferred.
  • Specialty pharmacy experience will also be considered.
