A full-time infusion pharmacist position is available with a direct hire opportunity in Sacramento, CA. This role focuses on delivering high-touch patient care and managing pharmacy production within a clinical infusion setting.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • On-call rotation every third weekend

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services for chronic and acute infusion therapies prescribed by authorized medical personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain operational compliance and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with nursing, admissions, reimbursement, sales, and marketing teams to optimize patient care and service delivery.
  • Participate actively in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in training new pharmacy staff and serve as a preceptor for pharmacy interns as needed.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for sales and marketing efforts, including reviewing marketing materials and assisting with presentations.
  • Manage procurement and inventory control in alignment with company policies.
  • Support pharmacy insurance authorization processes and reimbursement audits.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, especially around controlled substances, in compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Participate in pharmacy on-call rotation to provide continuous support.
  • Demonstrate understanding and adherence to USP 797, USP 800 standards, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Prior experience in an infusion pharmacy setting is highly preferred.
  • Candidates with specialty pharmacy experience are also considered.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy systems such as CPR+/CareTend is beneficial.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
