Clinical Pharmacist in Saint James, MO

An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to support a 250-bed hospital equipped with EPIC and Omnicell systems. This contract role offers hands-on involvement in critical pharmacy operations, ensuring quality patient care through medication management and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with protocols
• Conduct pharmacokinetic evaluations to optimize drug therapy plans
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff on medication-related issues and recommendations
• Maintain thorough documentation and support pharmacy operations aligned with hospital policies

Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri pharmacist license required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred, demonstrating familiarity with clinical settings
• Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics and medication therapy management
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
• Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as EPIC and automated dispensing tools like Omnicell is advantageous
