A unique opportunity is available for pharmacists interested in serving a tribal clinic and hospital environment in Arizona. This contract position offers the chance to work in a culturally rich setting with a supportive team dedicated to providing excellent patient care.
Three full-time pharmacist openings are available:
- Two positions based in the Outpatient Clinic, playing a key role in medication management and patient counseling.
- One position for a Night Shift Emergency Department Pharmacist, requiring clinical experience and a willingness to obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. This role provides true decentralized clinical pharmacy services in a fast-paced emergency setting.
No Arizona pharmacist license is required, broadening eligibility to pharmacists licensed in any state. Candidates with residency or hospital experience and a positive, adaptable attitude are highly preferred.
Schedule and Work Environment:
- Typically 10-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM for outpatient roles
- Night shift hours for the ED pharmacist role
- Work with the proprietary RPMS system, standard across several tribal and Indian Health Service hospitals, similar to the VA’s Vista system
Housing:
- Affordable shared housing is available on campus at approximately $400/month
- Housing includes private bedrooms with shared bathrooms and kitchens
- Non-coed apartments housing up to three individuals
