Clinical Pharmacist - San Diego, CA

Join a specialized pharmacy team focused on innovative diabetic medical supplies, including continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and insulin pumps. This full-time contract opportunity based in Chula Vista, CA, offers pharmacists a unique role in a non-traditional mail order environment where attention to detail and collaboration are essential.

Location:

• 2084 Otay Lake Road, Chula Vista, CA 91913

Schedule:

• Pharmacy hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (may require staying until 8 PM if workload demands)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify products and fulfill orders involving boxed CGMs and insulin pumps
• Utilize a specialized program system (Brightree) with comprehensive training provided
• Collaborate closely with a dedicated team including 3 pharmacists, 5 technicians, a clerk, and a driver
• Ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of order processing
• Support teamwork and clear communication within the pharmacy environment

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active California State Pharmacist License in good standing with no negative history (required)
• Experience in mail order or retail pharmacy settings, with a preference for retail filling expertise
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to adapt and learn new systems quickly
• Candidates holding multiple pharmacy licenses are highly encouraged, as there is potential for temp-to-perm placement and site manager opportunities

Additional Details:

• Volume of approximately 20 orders per day, allowing time for thorough handling of each item
• Tech support always available to ensure pharmacists are never working alone
• Part of a larger network with multiple locations
