We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for an urgent interim assignment in Redding, California. This is a full-time contract opportunity supporting a community-based pharmacy setting while permanent leadership is being secured.
This is a high-priority need with an immediate start and strong onsite support staff already in place.
Position Details
Location: Redding, CA
Role: Interim Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP (training mid to late next week; full-time beginning 6/29)
Duration: 6–8 weeks or until permanent hire is placed
Setting: Community pharmacy / specialty outpatient setting
Responsibilities
Serve as Interim PIC overseeing daily pharmacy operations
Supervise pharmacy technician staff and workflow
Collaborate closely with onsite providers and care teams
Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
Support dispensing, verification, and operational processes as needed
Maintain quality and safety standards across pharmacy services
Ideal Candidate
Active California Pharmacist license
Recent retail or outpatient pharmacy experience required
Prior leadership or PIC experience strongly preferred
Strong communication and team leadership skills
Comfortable stepping into a fast-paced, interim leadership role

New Leaf system (training provided)
Compensation & Support
Competitive hourly contract rate - $70+/hour
Travel support provided, including:
Hotel accommodations arranged and covered
Mileage reimbursement for travel every other weekend
Meal stipend provided per shift ($50/day worked)
