A healthcare facility in need of an experienced Clinical Pharmacist is offering a 13-week contract opportunity beginning May 11. The role is based in the Santa Ana, CA area and involves inpatient pharmacy practice within a hospital setting.
Schedule and Work Hours:
- 4x10-hour shifts per week, mixing day and evening hours
- Possible shift start times include 6:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, or 1:30 PM
- Rotating weekends required
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee inpatient pharmacy operations to maintain efficient workflow
- Check and verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Carry out additional duties aligned with clinical expertise and experience
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system to manage patient information
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- Completion of a pharmacy residency is highly preferred, especially PGY-1 level
- Clinical rounding experience is a plus
- Ability to adapt to operational demands while providing clinical support
This position covers a leave of absence and offers the chance to work with a new client via a managed service provider. The Director of Pharmacy is highly selective, seeking candidates with strong credentials and clinical capabilities.
