Oncology Clinical Pharmacist in Santa Barbara, CA

A leading non-profit health system in Santa Barbara, CA, is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacy Specialist with expertise in Oncology to join their multidisciplinary team. This role focuses on delivering advanced clinical pharmaceutical care across both inpatient and outpatient infusion settings. Ideal candidates will demonstrate true clinical expertise in oncology pharmacotherapy, contributing to high-quality patient outcomes and innovative treatment protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage comprehensive medication therapies including lab test orders, therapy selection, and adverse event monitoring.
• Verify chemotherapy orders and protocols for accuracy, dosage, and safety parameters.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, side effect management, and medication adherence.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff during clinical rounds to optimize treatment decisions.
• Participate in clinical research, oversee investigational drugs, and contribute to the development of institutional oncology protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree.
• Eligibility to obtain California pharmacist license.
• Completion of PGY2 residency or fellowship in oncology, or PGY1 plus a minimum of 3 years clinical oncology pharmacy experience, or 5 years as a clinical oncology specialist.
• Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) strongly preferred.

• Monday through Friday, day shifts.
