A non-profit health system in Santa Barbara, CA is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for a key role in their oncology program. Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive medication management, including ordering labs, therapy selection, and adverse event management
  • Verify chemotherapy orders and protocols for accuracy, dosage, and safety
  • Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and manage chemotherapy side effects to optimize adherence
  • Collaborate with providers and nurses during clinical rounds to make informed treatment decisions
  • Participate in clinical trials, manage investigational drugs, and develop institutional oncology protocols and guidelines

Qualifications:

  • PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
  • Eligibility to obtain California pharmacist license
  • Completion of PGY2 or oncology fellowship; or PGY1 plus 3 years as a clinical oncology specialist; or 5 years as a clinical oncology specialist
  • Board certification in oncology (BCOP) strongly preferred

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, day shifts
