A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in an infusion pharmacy setting supporting oncology care in Santa Barbara, CA. This contract role involves working Monday through Friday on day shifts, providing a collaborative and patient-centered environment focused on cancer treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support multidisciplinary oncology teams, patients, and caregivers in delivering comprehensive cancer therapy management.
  • Provide cancer therapy education, monitor toxicities, and manage supportive care interventions.
  • Collaborate with oncology providers to inform treatment decisions while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Serve as a resource for evidence-based pharmacological options and facilitate access to clinical services.
  • Assess and select appropriate therapies, manage adverse reactions, and educate both providers and patients.
  • Review patient charts prospectively to identify and prevent medication-related issues.
  • Evaluate treatment appropriateness and effectiveness based on current guidelines and primary literature.
  • Deliver personalized treatment plans and optimize drug therapy tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Monitor medication safety throughout the treatment course.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active California Pharmacist license.
  • Current experience in Oncology Pharmacy practice.
  • Strong understanding of cancer therapies, treatment protocols, and supportive care modalities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education and provider consultation.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Day shift hours
