Clinical Pharmacist in Schenectady, NY

This opportunity as a Clinical Pharmacist offers a unique chance to expand your expertise across multiple acute care settings including the Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit, plus contribute to an antibiotic stewardship team. Unlike larger hospitals where clinical pharmacists often work exclusively on a single unit, this role provides variety and growth by allowing you to engage with diverse patient populations and clinical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders and review profiles to ensure appropriateness and safety
• Deliver clinical pharmacy services tailored to patient needs in ED and ICU settings
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate closely with care teams
• Perform drug therapy monitoring and manage consults according to established protocols
• Respond to acute patient events such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma situations

Qualifications and Experience:

• BS Pharmacy or PharmD degree required
• PGY1 residency or a minimum of three years of current clinical pharmacy experience preferred
• PA pharmacist license ideal; however, candidates without a current PA license, but able to obtain one, are encouraged to apply
• Comfortable working with electronic health records, preferably Meditech

• Primarily day shifts with variable days and afternoons
