Clinical Pharmacist in Shafter, CA

A full-time temporary opportunity is available for a Compounding Pharmacist in the Bakersfield, CA area, with the assignment running through July 2026 and possible potential for permanent placement. This role focuses on overseeing both sterile and non-sterile compounding activities while ensuring compliance with all relevant pharmacy regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding processes.
• Perform final verification of prescriptions to maintain accuracy and safety.
• Fill, label, and prepackage medications efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding orders, clarifications, and refills.
• Counsel patients, providing clear answers to their medication-related questions.
• Ensure compliance with USP 795, 797, 800, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM
• Full-time through July 2026

Desired Qualifications:

• PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Active California Pharmacist license.
• 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience, with a preference for compounding expertise.
• Strong communication and organizational skills essential for managing duties and patient interactions.
