An exceptional opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to engage in diverse and impactful patient care at a well-regarded hospital in State College, PA. This permanent role offers dynamic work across Emergency Department (ED), Critical Care Unit (CCU/ICU), and the antibiotic stewardship team—providing a broader clinical experience than typical positions restricted to a single unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct medication order entry, accuracy verification, and review medication profiles to ensure appropriateness.
  • Deliver clinical services tailored to the specific patient populations within ED and ICU settings.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary rounds and team collaborations.
  • Monitor drug therapies and manage pharmacist-led consults in accordance with established protocols.
  • Respond to acute patient care scenarios including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • PGY1 residency or a minimum of three years’ clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain licensure.
  • Candidates without a current Pennsylvania license are warmly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with Meditech IT systems is a plus.

Location:

  • State College, Pennsylvania — an attractive area known for its vibrant community and home to Penn State University.

Schedule:

  • Variable shifts primarily during daytime hours; 8-hour shifts.
