A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available at a respected medical center in State College, PA, offering a dynamic role with exposure to both the Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU). This position allows pharmacists to broaden their clinical expertise by working across multiple units, including active participation on the antibiotic stewardship team, rather than being confined to a single specialty area.

Schedule: Variable day and afternoon shifts, primarily 8-hour day shifts
Technology: Meditech electronic health records system
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders and review medication profiles for appropriateness and safety
- Provide clinical pharmacy services tailored to patient populations in the ED and ICU
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in rounds
- Monitor drug therapy and perform pharmacist-managed consults following established protocols
- Support acute patient care scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD
- PGY1 residency or a minimum of 3 years of current clinical pharmacy experience
- PA pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Candidates without a current PA license are encouraged to apply
