Clinical Pharmacist in Slaton, TX

Join an established inpatient pharmacy team at a leading 500-bed medical center featuring a 42-bed NICU and a 14-bed Pediatric ICU. This role offers the opportunity to work within a hospital setting using the EPIC electronic health record system, which was recently adopted following a transition from Cerner. The position is perfect for a clinical pharmacist seeking to enhance their hospital pharmacy skills with meaningful patient care responsibilities.

Location:

• Lubbock, TX

Schedule:

• 7 days on, 7 days off night shift rotation (Wednesday through Tuesday)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general inpatient pharmacy services
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy and ensure safe and effective patient care
• Accurately verify medication orders and monitor drug utilization
• Utilize the EPIC system for medication management and documentation

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of inpatient pharmacist experience is highly preferred for this position
• Experience with EPIC software is preferred, as familiarity with the newly implemented system will enhance efficiency and workflow
• Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to work independently on night shifts

Contract Details:

• Travel assignment, with consideration for permanent placement if the candidate is willing to relocate
