Clinical Pharmacist - Snowmass Village, Colorado

A clinical pharmacist position is available for a contract role in a mountain resort area, starting immediately with an assignment projected through mid-August 2026. This opportunity involves working 40 hours per week on a rotating day/evening schedule, including rotating weekends with shifts starting as early as 6:30 AM or 8:00 AM Monday through Friday, and weekend shifts from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The role is ideally suited for candidates with strong experience in Epic electronic medical records (EMR), as the facility is transitioning from Meditech to Epic systems; prior Meditech knowledge is advantageous.

Key responsibilities include accurately interpreting and processing medication orders, preparing and dispensing pharmaceuticals—including IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition—while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. The pharmacist will monitor drug therapies for safety and effectiveness, provide clinical consultations, participate in formulary maintenance, and actively engage in quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, the pharmacist serves as a member of the Code Response Team and contributes to staff education and training.

Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Pharmacist license in good standing
• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science degree
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Experience with Epic EMR mandatory; Meditech experience preferred
• Required seasonal flu vaccination (October 1 through April 1, no exemptions)
