An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist to support healthcare professionals in Snowmass Village, CO. This contract role begins ASAP with an assignment projected through August 15, 2026, offering a full-time, 40-hour workweek on a rotating shift schedule. The position involves providing critical pharmaceutical care as the facility transitions from Meditech to Epic EMR systems.

Schedule:

  • Rotating day/evening shifts, Monday to Friday starting at 6:30 AM or 8:00 AM
  • Rotating weekends from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and dispense medication orders as prescribed by physicians
  • Maintain medication inventory within patient care areas
  • Ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication therapy in compliance with policies and regulations
  • Interpret medication orders and maintain accurate computerized medication profiles
  • Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition
  • Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and dosage appropriateness
  • Perform pharmacokinetic dosing according to hospital protocols
  • Review cultures and sensitivity data for antibiotic use and make recommendations
  • Detect and report adverse drug reactions promptly
  • Advise on therapeutic substitutions and cost-effective alternatives
  • Provide drug information to medical staff, patients, and families
  • Participate in quality improvement and medication review initiatives
  • Engage in staff education and training
  • Serve as a member of the Code Response Team

Qualifications:

  • Active Colorado Pharmacist License in good standing
  • Graduation from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
  • Must have previous experience with Epic; Meditech experience is a plus
  • Flu vaccine required with no exemptions accepted (October 1 - April 1)
