Clinical Pharmacist in Snowmass Village, CO

An opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to support medication management and patient care in a hospital setting. This assignment is ideal for professionals with strong clinical skills and experience using Epic electronic medical records (EMR). The role involves rotating shifts and active participation in pharmacy operations during a system-wide EMR conversion from Meditech to Epic.

Location: Snowmass Village, CO
Type: Contract (assignment through approximately 8/15/26, with flexibility to adjust start date)
Schedule:

• Rotating day/evening shifts, 40 hours per week
• Start times of 6:30 AM or 8:00 AM, Monday through Friday
• Rotating weekends 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications per physician orders, including IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition
• Maintain medication stock in patient care areas and enforce safe, cost-effective medication use
• Monitor drug therapies for contraindications, interactions, allergies, and dosing appropriateness
• Perform pharmacokinetic drug dosing following hospital protocols
• Interpret culture and sensitivity data to guide antibiotic therapy adjustments
• Provide clinical consultation and therapeutic alternatives to medical staff
• Participate in quality improvement, medication review activities, and educational programs
• Maintain detailed documentation of clinical interventions and pharmacy activities
• Serve as a member of the hospital Code Response Team

Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Pharmacist License in good standing
• Graduate from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS in Pharmacy
• Proficient in Epic EMR (Meditech experience a plus)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Required flu vaccination (no exemptions allowed, effective Oct 1–Apr 1)
