Clinical Pharmacist in South Bend, IN

An opportunity is available for two inpatient clinical pharmacists to support hospital pharmacy operations near South Bend, IN, with the facility located just outside in Elkhart, IN. This contract role begins on June 1st and lasts for 13 weeks, offering two distinct day shift options:

• Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Day/Evening Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Responsibilities include accurate order verification and medication management within an inpatient setting. You will work extensively with Cerner EMR and Meds Manager Order Verification processes, Pyxis, and Pharmacy Keeper systems. The role demands proficiency in hospital pharmacy distribution services and preparation of intravenous (IV) medications. Familiarity with IV antibiotics, anticoagulants, and electrolytes is essential to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting
• Proficient with Cerner EMR and Cerner Meds Manager for order verification
• Skilled in IV room preparation and hospital medication protocols

• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify
