Clinical Pharmacist in South Bend, IN

A healthcare facility near South Bend, IN is seeking two inpatient pharmacists to support their clinical pharmacy team in a 13-week contract starting June 1. One position covers a day shift from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and the other a combined day/evening shift from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the site and be proficient in Cerner order verification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inpatient pharmacy operations including order verification utilizing Cerner Meds Manager
• Prepare and dispense medications in compliance with hospital distribution standards
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe administration of IV antibiotics, anticoagulants, and electrolytes
• Maintain accurate medication records using Cerner EMR, Pyxis, and Pharmacy Keeper systems
• Support IV room preparation in accordance with protocols and quality standards

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Familiarity with inpatient pharmacy workflows and hospital-based medication management
• Experience with Cerner EMR and Meds Manager order verification process is essential
• Knowledge of IV medication preparation and handling, including antibiotics and anticoagulants
