Clinical Pharmacist | Sparks, Nevada

A clinical pharmacist position is available for a dedicated professional to provide night shift coverage at a 175-bed hospital. This contract role supports critical inpatient pharmacy services with a focus on patient-centered care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Schedule & Hours:

• Night shift, 7 days on followed by 7 days off
• 10-hour shifts

Location:

• Sparks, NV area (near Reno)

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders efficiently and accurately
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff during night shifts
• Provide clinical consultations to physicians and nursing teams to optimize pharmacotherapy
• Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring for complex patient cases
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems to support medication management

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Nevada pharmacist license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience, preferably in acute care settings
• Strong clinical knowledge including pharmacokinetics and medication safety
• Effective communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities during overnight hours

This contract is scheduled to begin as soon as possible and is expected to last for 13 weeks or longer. Night shift hospital pharmacy experience and a Nevada license are essential for success in this role.
