Clinical Pharmacist | Spotsylvania, Virginia

A clinical pharmacist role is available at an outpatient infusion center specializing in cancer treatments in Fredericksburg, VA. This position offers a contract-to-hire opportunity for a pharmacist experienced in infusion therapies and oncology medications.

Location:

• Fredericksburg, VA (Cancer Center outpatient infusion department)

Schedule/Hours:

• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Pharmacy hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• No on-call or weekend coverage required

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense chemotherapy and other infusion medications accurately
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure safe medication administration
• Monitor patients for therapeutic outcomes and adverse reactions
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for documentation and medication management
• Support a team of 2-3 pharmacists and 3 technicians in the outpatient pharmacy

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Virginia pharmacist license required
• Experience in infusion pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, or chemotherapy preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
