Position Details

• Start: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks+
• Strong possibility of extension
• Missouri Pharmacist license required
• EMR: EPIC
• Competitive weekly pay

Shift Options

• 1st Shift: 10-hour shifts, 7-on/7-off
• 2nd Shift: 10-hour shifts, 7-on/7-off
• 3rd Shift: Nights, 7-on/7-off
• New graduates will be considered

What You'll Do

• Verify medications using EPIC Dispense Prep
• Check IV medications, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, and other products
• Verify medication kits and crash carts
• Coordinate workflow within the central pharmacy
• Ensure code carts are properly restocked
• Oversee technician workflow and redirect tasks as needed
• Support day-to-day central pharmacy operations

Pharmacy Environment

• Central pharmacy setting
• Day shift: 5 pharmacists and 10 technicians
• Evening shift: 2 pharmacists and 5-6 technicians
• Primary focus is central pharmacy operations and product verification
• Other pharmacists focus more heavily on medication order review within the EHR
• Training: Approximately 2-3 weeks depending on experience and capability

Requirements

• Active Missouri Pharmacist license
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred
• New graduates will be considered
• EPIC experience preferred
• Comfortable working in an acute care hospital pharmacy
• Able to coordinate technician workflow and central pharmacy operations
