Clinical Pharmacist - Stafford, Virginia

A clinical pharmacist role is available within an outpatient infusion setting at a well-established cancer center located in Fredericksburg, VA. This opportunity offers the potential for contract-to-hire placement, with a start date as soon as possible.

Location:

• Fredericksburg, VA (Outpatient Infusion Center)

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No on-call or weekend coverage required

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and dispense medications in an outpatient infusion environment, supporting cancer treatment protocols.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services focused on chemotherapy and infusion therapies.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective medication use.
• Utilize electronic health records (EPIC) and medication management systems (Pyxis) effectively.
• Participate in daily operational activities alongside other pharmacists and technicians.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia Pharmacist license required.
• Experience with infusion, hospital pharmacy, and chemotherapy preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of EPIC and Pyxis systems is a plus.
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.

Team Environment:

• Work within a small, focused outpatient pharmacy team comprising 2-3 pharmacists and 3 technicians.
• Support patients undergoing infusion therapy in a compassionate and professional setting.
