Clinical Pharmacist - Stafford, VA

An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in outpatient infusion services at a cancer center located in Fredericksburg, VA. This contract position has the potential to transition into a permanent role.

Location:
Fredericksburg, VA

Schedule:

• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  Pharmacy operational hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Weekend and on-call coverage are not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and prepare chemotherapy and infusion medications for outpatient cancer patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to review and verify medication orders.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Utilize electronic health records and pharmacy systems such as EPIC and Pyxis for medication management.
• Support the outpatient pharmacy team consisting of pharmacists and technicians in pharmaceutical care delivery.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Virginia.
• Experience in infusion, hospital pharmacy, or chemotherapy preferred.
• Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
