Clinical Pharmacist in State College, PA

A hospital-based pharmacist role is available at a community hospital with approximately 150 beds. This contract opportunity starts ASAP and offers a duration of 5-6 months with potential for extension. The schedule includes variable day and afternoon shifts, with some flexibility available to accommodate individual needs.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians in daily operations.
• Consult directly with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy.
• Utilize hospital IT systems including Meditech, PharmacyKeeper, and Pyxis to manage medication records and inventory.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license required.
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
• Familiarity with Meditech system is highly preferred.
• Full-time availability to meet staffing needs.
