Clinical Pharmacist - State College, PA

An opportunity is available for a Unit-Based Clinical Pharmacist to engage in diverse clinical practices across Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings. This position offers the unique chance to develop comprehensive clinical expertise by working across multiple units rather than being limited to a single specialty floor. Additionally, involvement in the antibiotic stewardship team enhances collaborative patient care and antimicrobial management.

Location: Situated in a vibrant community known for its scenic beauty and home to a major university, the role is based in State College, PA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform medication order entry, verification, and review medication profiles for clinical appropriateness.
• Deliver clinical pharmacy services tailored to patient populations in ED and ICU.
• Provide drug information and participate in multidisciplinary rounds as assigned.
• Conduct drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consults according to protocols.
• Participate actively in acute patient care situations such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma response.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Completion of PGY1 residency or a minimum of three years of relevant clinical pharmacy experience.
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in Pennsylvania or eligible to obtain licensure.
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health record system is preferred.

Schedule:

• Primarily day shifts with variable days and afternoons.
• Eight-hour shifts supporting patient care continuity.

This direct hire position provides a competitive salary range from $108,000 to $169,000 annually, with a midpoint at $139,000. Relocation assistance may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
