Clinical Pharmacist - State College, PA

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop advanced clinical pharmacy skills across multiple high-acuity units, including the Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU), as well as contribute to the antibiotic stewardship program. Unlike positions confined to a single floor, this direct hire Clinical Pharmacist role allows for diverse patient care experiences and professional growth.

Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders, ensuring appropriateness and safety
• Conduct medication profile reviews and provide clinical services tailored to patient needs
• Provide drug information and support to healthcare teams
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds within ED, ICU, and other clinical areas
• Perform drug therapy monitoring and pharmacist-managed consults according to protocols
• Actively engage in acute patient care scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
• PGY1 residency or a minimum of 3 years of current clinical pharmacy experience preferred
• Licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain licensure
• Proficiency with Meditech or similar electronic health record systems advantageous

Schedule:

• Primarily day shifts, 8-hour shifts with some variable day and afternoon hours

This position offers competitive compensation ranging approximately from $108,000 to $169,000 annually (midpoint $139,000), with relocation assistance considered on a case-by-case basis.
