A leading medical center in State College, PA, is seeking dedicated unit-based Clinical Pharmacists to provide specialized patient care across Emergency Department (ED) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to develop and broaden clinical expertise by working collaboratively across multiple critical care units as well as participating in an antibiotic stewardship program. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform medication order entry, verification, and medication profile reviews to ensure appropriateness and safety.
  • Deliver clinical pharmacy services tailored to the needs of patients in ED and ICU settings.
  • Collaborate as part of multidisciplinary healthcare teams and participate in patient rounds.
  • Provide drug information and consult on drug therapy management per established protocols.
  • Take an active role in acute patient care scenarios, including cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma emergencies.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Completion of PGY-1 residency or a minimum of 3 years current clinical practice.
  • PA pharmacist license or clear ability to obtain licensure; out-of-state candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with Meditech IT systems preferred.

Schedule:

  • Primarily day shift with some variable days or afternoon shifts.
  • Eight-hour shifts.

This permanent role offers a competitive compensation range reflecting experience and qualifications, with a midpoint salary around $139,000 per year.
