Pharmacist Clinical | Stillwater, Minnesota

An opportunity is available for an experienced Overnight Pharmacist to support a hospital pharmacy team on a full-time 3-month contract. This role operates on a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule, with 10-hour overnight shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Local candidates are preferred, but travel pharmacists with flexibility to relocate or commute will be considered—with travel stipends offered for qualified individuals.

Location:

• Stillwater, MN (Primary site)
• Remote support for additional Wisconsin hospitals

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the overnight pharmacist for the primary hospital site
• Provide after-hours order verification for three additional hospitals remotely
• Process overnight prescriptions for ambulatory care and hospice patients
• Respond to clinical emergencies including Code Blue, Rapid Response Team, and Code Stroke activations
• Support care for a Level II nursery (neonates down to 34 weeks gestation)
• Perform order verification and drug information consults across multiple sites
• Handle sterile IV compounding and medication preparation independently overnight
• Manage cart fills, Pyxis refills, and inventory
• Conduct pharmacokinetic dosing, monitoring, and anticoagulation management

Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota Pharmacist license (required)
• Experience with Epic electronic health records system (required)
• Familiarity with Epic Willow Ambulatory prescription processing (preferred)
• Experience with Pyxis ES and BD Pyxis Logistics (preferred)
• Recent hospital or health-system pharmacy experience is strongly preferred

This contract role offers the chance to practice autonomously during overnight hours while providing critical multi-site clinical support and acute care services in a collaborative healthcare setting. The pharmacist will work independently overnight with responsibilities ranging from order verification to emergency response.
