Clinical Pharmacist - Stillwater, MN

An experienced Overnight Pharmacist is sought for a full-time 3-month contract supporting a hospital pharmacy team. This role operates on a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule, working 10-hour overnight shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Local candidates in Minnesota are preferred, though travel pharmacists will be considered with travel stipends available for qualified professionals.

Location:

• Stillwater, MN (primary work location with remote support duties to additional Wisconsin hospitals)

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the overnight pharmacist, providing after-hours order verification for the primary site and remote hospitals
• Process overnight prescriptions for ambulatory care and hospice patients
• Respond promptly to clinical emergencies such as Code Blue, Rapid Response, and Code Stroke activations
• Support Level II nursery care for neonates as early as 34 weeks gestation
• Perform order verification and provide drug information consults across multiple sites
• Conduct sterile IV compounding and sterile product preparation during overnight hours independently (no overnight pharmacy technician coverage)
• Manage cart fill, Pyxis refill, and inventory control
• Deliver pharmacokinetic dosing, monitoring, and anticoagulation management services

Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota Pharmacist license (required)
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system (required)
• Familiarity with Epic Willow Ambulatory prescription processing (preferred)
• Knowledge of Pyxis ES and BD Pyxis Logistics systems (preferred)
• Recent hospital or health-system pharmacy experience is strongly preferred
