Clinical Pharmacist - Sugar Land, Texas

A clinical pharmacist is needed for overnight shifts at a women's pavilion site, supporting patient care across all ages from newborn to adult. This 14-week contract role begins on May 18 and requires working seven consecutive nights followed by seven nights off, with shifts from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The position utilizes the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the medication process by ensuring proper medication doses based on diagnosis, weight, allergies, and drug interactions
• Accurately enter medication orders into the computer system to avoid errors
• Verify the correctness of medications dispensed to patients, ensuring no dispensing errors
• Process medication orders and deliver doses within established timeframes
• Adhere to aseptic technique and infection control standards during sterile product preparation; ensure technicians and pharmacists follow protocol
• Complete annual re-certification with strong performance on aseptic technique and infection control exams

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas pharmacist license
• ACPE IV certification
• Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience, preferably in pediatrics
• Proven ability to maintain medication safety with a record free of medication incidents

• Overnight shifts, seven days on/seven days off
