A leading non-profit health system in a highly desirable coastal location is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Oncology. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert medication management including lab test ordering, therapy selection, and adverse event handling.
  • Verify chemotherapy orders and protocols to ensure dosage accuracy, appropriateness, and patient safety.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on oncology treatment plans, manage chemotherapy side effects, and support medication adherence.
  • Collaborate closely with providers and nursing staff during clinical rounds to optimize cancer care.
  • Participate in clinical trials, oversee investigational drug use, and develop institutional oncology protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
  • Eligibility to obtain California pharmacist license.
  • Advanced oncology training including PGY2 residency or fellowship in oncology, or PGY1 plus a minimum of 3 years clinical specialist experience in oncology; alternatively, 5 years as a clinical oncology specialist.
  • Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) strongly preferred.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, day shifts.
